How To: Enjoy the Versatility of a Tunic

How versatile are your favorite pieces?
Well, mine is pretty darn versatile! I love tunics because of that reason, but also I just like the illusion its gives off of having a long torso. This piece especially is one of my favorites in my wardrobe. I love how it’s fun, and free during the summers but can easily transition nicely and pair with leather leggings or a pencil skirts during the Fall/ Winter.

Statements and Staples!
I love a great statement piece. So much that I find myself always needing new pieces in the staple department. This piece, however, gives me a little of both worlds. Its basic all white body is a great staple and its beautiful detailing on the sleeves leaves just the right amount of statement. With the placement being only on the sleeves it is easy to conceal if needed (but why would you want too?) with a lightweight jacket.

Let’s Recycle and Reuse.

One thing I’m working on is not being a one-hitter quitter lol. When I say that I mean wearing my clothes once or twice than letting them collect dust. So I’m here to help you see the light (and myself) on how to recycle and reuse those high fashion pieces!

Here are three great ways to wear your favorite tunic:

  1. Traditionally. Pair your tunic with leggings or skinny jeans. I prefer skinny ankle jeans with holes! But during the colder season a tunic, with leggings(leather or suede) and booties is always a chic look.
  2. As a dress. So, I have worn this tunic and most of my tunics as a dress with heels. However, fun sandals or lace-up flats and an oversized vintage looking denim jacket is also a great option.
  3. A loose tucked in top. I am the queen of tucking a tunic into a big skirt or pants that will allow it for that freer and relax look.
Mix and Match your pieces to get the best out of them! I hope you find this helpful. If you have other fantastic tips or questions, please don’t hesitate to comment below! Have a bless and productive Tuesday! It’s such a wonderful day with so much to be thankful for!

About the look:
My boyfriend and I have been spending our Sundays together in church attending a premarital class (Which was great and I highly recommend it, but that’s for another blog post!). The church is a pretty casual come as you are setting (something new for me), but I still cover my arms, etc. because that’s how I was raised in my family church. So that’s kind of how this look came about. I wanted to wear something appropriate if need to remove my jacket. Flats are also started to become my new best friend! There are so many cute and comfy flats out there its crazy!
OOTD:
Tunic: Jayla (sorry… but the store is under construction.). Jean: Asos. Jacket: Nordstrom. Shoes: Asos. Bag: Zara (but I wouldn’t recommend it, I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks and had lost tons of fringes. Also the first time I wore it, it left yellow stuff all over my black pants!). Sunglasses: Celine.
