With a new year, I always feel a sense of refreshment. One of my goals throughout this year is to keep that feeling thriving the whole year.
New Years resolutions… Well, I don’t really believe in new years resolutions completely. Of course for the new year, I have set goals for myself. A new beginning is always a great time to create a fresh start and make positive changes in the right direction, but some people wait solely for the new year to start making changes. Change and goal setting should be constant. Goals are something I believe we should always set for ourselves, daily, weekly, monthly and annually. This year I have set one new goal and the others are goals I have been previously working on.
I feel the best way to start this year off is to be thankful first. Thankful for life, good health, a loving family, new opportunities and any and everything God has blessed me with. Last year I began a Gratitude journal which really contribute to me being a happier person overall. Practicing gratitude I feel will be instrumental in reaching goals I have set.
My mind body and soul. This has been something I have been working towards for a while. I am very spiritual, so I believe a strong relationship with God and a pure, sound mind is important. This year I want to focus more one myself and less on others. One of my favorite sayings is, “Be the change you want to see in others”. When you are your best self there really isn’t much room for disappointment in others and what you may think are their short comings. My Body… well I’ve always wanted to have an extra fit body and this year I hope is the year I can accomplish this goal. I can afford to be a little more discipline when it comes to my diet. For those who really know me, know I have a major candy addiction and since sugar is a drug, kicking this addiction is top 3 on my to do list!
Continued growth as a mother will always be a goal of mine. I love being a mother but most of all I love being a woman my daughter can look up to.
Business… For me, balancing life, work and the pursuit of being an entrepreneur have been a challenge. In 2016, I will work at 110% with all things. Blogging more frequently and consistently, Restructuring my business to resemble the dream I have in my heart.
And Lastly my new goal. So if you would have told me I was going back to school. I would have laughed… haha, now I guess the joke is on me. My goal for the new year is to succeed and overachieve with my prerequisites for my Dental program.
I always hope to relate, inspire or motivate someone else. There really isn’t much we cant do. And when you do have the courage to follow a dream and it doesn’t workout the way planned… get up and try again. Believe in you. What’s your goals for 2016?
XOXO,
Steffanie
