I Don’t Want To Be That Person

You know that one, that always has gems of advice, but doesn’t follow their own preaching? Yes, you know that one, cause we all have that one! Well, I am sad to report that my one, is often myself. I’m always trying to inspire others and encourage them to get the ball moving. Live your bless life! Don’t be afraid, you got this! Yet, there are a few things that are slackin in my mackin!

I know. And, you and I have been here before. I have been pursuing this blog for far too long. No weapon shall prosper against this blog and my ability to provide you with great content. There. It’s out in the universe now. I am officially in the phase of Now, Sis! Now, is the time!

And…YouTube

Well, what had happened was… lol, what had happened was, I’ve been a straight procrastinator. You know, just waiting for the right time. And I have learned a fine lesson. There is no such thing as the right time. I have had a blank Youtube channel for so many years now. Because I have completely convinced myself that pursuing a blog and a youtube channel simultaneously is far too much!

An Announcement, please!

How will we know what too much is, if we don’t try? Well, you don’t. So, guess what? My Youtube channel is no longer blank. Why you ask? Because your girl leaped. 3 Things I’m Loving is up and live! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! And so can you! I challenge you to do that one thing, no matter big or small that keeps you up at night. It is so scary to leap but when you decide to fly its indescribable! Don’t forget to connect with me. I can’t wait to hear your inspiring stories! A community that inspires together thrive together!

About the look

Is this a dress or naw? Well, I don’t really know. Clearly, in my book, it can serve as both. A pair of shorts or a wide leg/flare pant would be fire with this dress (examples to come in a later post). But, for this look, I wore it solely as a dress.

I really love the vibe of this mix casual chic look. You know me always looking for a look that is elevated and realistic for my daily agenda. I paired an oversize blazer with this look because the dress was short. The weight of the blazer keeps the dress in place in case of wind. Also, since the blazer is oversized it made this look more comfortable. But most importantly, I loved how these pieces paired together. As practical as I just made all that sound, I choose fashion over comfort 9 times out 10.

The sneakers, well shot outs to my boyfriend, he’s the real MVP. I am not a sneaker girl, but I like whats cute. I saw these on Instagram with no regards to cost ( and not because I’m balling out of control). I sent him a picture and poof, it was in the universe lol. Having so much faith in him and the universe, I got me an outfit or two to go with my new sneakers. And, here we are! A pair of fun, and might I add comfy sneakers, a feminine but menswear-inspired dress and blazer. Yup, Thats my jam!
