How many of you are consume with Bey’s latest creation? LOL me for sure! For those who don’t know, I’m a huge Beyonce’ fan! I have been obsessed with Lemonade since it dropped and can not wait to see her in concert in a few weeks!
I have to talk to you about the visual album, Lemonade. I won’t lie to you. I did not know what to expect especially from the title “Lemonade.” However, Beyonce’ as always has taken her creativity, art, craft, etc. to a whole another high. This album makes me feel proud, proud to be a woman, proud to be a black woman! Her story was empowering and uplifting. She touched on many different topics and her courage… incredible.
I enjoyed how she used her story (rather truth or a lie) to demonstrate some of the struggles we go through in life as women. She paid tribute to Black lives matter depicting Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Eric Garner and their mothers. She made references to Malcolm X and so much more. I also enjoyed how the Lemonade series is express by intuition, Denial, Anger, Apathy, Emptiness, Accountability, Reformation, Forgiveness, Resurrection, Hope, and Redemptions! We are only human, and this breakdown made it feel that much more real and relatable. We all go through things, even one of the most amazing women alive.
As I mentioned before I, like the rest of the world, had no clue where she was going with the Lemonade Theme. But when Life gives you Lemons make Lemonade is one of my favorites saying to live by. We can’t stop the inevitable, and things will happen. It is what we decide to do with the misfortunate that counts. So when the going gets tough… get you a glass, some ice, water, plenty of sugar and make you some Lemonade to live for! Happy Monday!
