I pose the question, How are you Balancing it all? Seriously? Adulting is hard, and it gets increasingly harder once you start getting add on’s, and extra sides, lol.
The other day, while doing about a million things at once. Tasks, after tasks non-stop! I thought to myself, how in the world do I do this? How in the world do other women do this?
Can I really do it all?
Honestly, who knows if I can really do it all? Most times, I feel hands down… I got this. However, as a human, I have those days where self-defeat and anxiety try to creep in.
I’m mean, as an ambitious woman I’m holding down a lot, Full-time job with a commute that sucks, Side hustles, Mother to a preteen who is everchanging. And, as I read this back, baby am I doing too much?! lol.
I asked this question to some of my other Ambitious moms slaying the game, How are you Balancing it all (I’m asking for a friend, lol)? After diving in deep, we came up with 2 things we agree are key to attempting to balancing it all.
I always say it, but I am going to say it again because the consensus is in. Here are, 2 things I know are key, Mindset and self-love. First, you have to know that God doesn’t put more on us than we can bear. That being said, ladies, you can handle this! We have to make sure we remind our self that daily. Daily affirmations are a great way to keep that mindset on track.
Secondly, Self-love is about self. I use to feel bad for taking, ” me time”, to workout, read, etc, but not anymore. I can not overextend myself and I don’t want to teach my child to overextend herself. it is important to recharge. If I do not feel 100, guess what? Everyone around me feels that tension, and ain’t nobody got time for that! With all, most women, no, adults period, have to balance alone. Can be enough to drive you mad. So, please, please, please, take the time to check in on self. I believe, with a positive mindset and self-love, we are going to be alright!
About the look:
WIWTW aka What I Wore This Weekend
Let’s talk about what I wore this weekend! This was actually my Easter outfit. Therefore, I wanted to wear something that would be appropriate for church yet allowed me to still feel cute, sexy and cool after church.
In order to comfortably wear this dress to church, I paired it with a vest. Besides that, adding a vest gives it a more polished look. This dress is also a little tight fitting, so the vest helped with concealing that. I also, wore white booties because it is spring! Once I took off the vest, the beautiful voluminous sleeves hung off the shoulders slightly. This look made me feel retro chic! Lastly, but not least, the belt bag! I love it because it’s easy. I love feeling like I can just get up and go and Belt bags allotted that to you plus some.
I hope I was able to inspire or uplift you! Until next time!
P.S if you haven’t already make sure you check out, WIWTW Edit.
