Currently, a belt isn’t just a belt that must sit at your waist. It is now a cool fashion accessory add-on that can take your look from basic to cool in seconds. Here are a few belts I’m currently crushing on…

Fashion Tips: How to rock the statement belt trend.

Now that we know some my favorites, let’s talk about ways to rock this instant fashion enhancer. Of course, I’m a lover of a belt over any type of layering pieces such as a trench coat, blazer or denim jacket to name a few. Just last week I showcased My red forever 21 belt over a Zara floral blazer see look here.

An embellished belt, like the Topshop belt depicted in this post or the infamous Gucci logo belt, are fabulous enough to just let a belt be a belt. Not to say this doesn’t work over layers because it definitely does. However, if you want to simply wear these belts with just a simple look, they work great.

Statement tees are also a pretty big trend and paired back to logo belt Makes for a cool street style look. As for a complete look, I would add a solid color skirt, like black but in a fun fabrication such as patent leather and some cool sneakers or if I’m feeling jazzy ankle boots. Another fun way to wear a logo fanny pack, preferably one in a solid pop of color pair it with a boyfriend style herringbone blazer or something similar.
