Personal Goal’s Check-in 2018

Goal Check-In

Happy Friday! We made it through the work week (and may the church say amen!) I want to do a personal goal check-in with you all. I look to my readers and this blog to be my personal accountability partners. If you haven’t checked out my blog post- New Years Resolution 2018: Do You Still Have Your Sh*t Together!  please do first, so you aren’t lost reading this post.

Meaning of personal goals

Before I do a goal check-in. I want to deflect a bit. I started reading this book, The Desire Map, by Danielle Laporte. I have only cracked the surface of it, but so far its helped me put a lot into perspective. This book starts off with helping you understand what your goals mean to you. For this blog post I will not only check in but I will also reveal what accomplishing my personal goals mean to me.

Personal Goals

1.Taking blogging more seriously.

Blogging I feel I have been most successful with. So far, I have set a blogging schedule and have stuck with it. However, in my original post, I said I wanted to blog 3 times a week. Which I would gladly do, but if I want to horn in on my skill and produce quality over quantity once a week as I grow is best for now.

What this means to me:

As I said, I only cut the surface of The Desire Map book. However, the big idea behind the book is to point out the meaning of set goals to each individual person. We set goals because how they make us feel. That being said, Being a successful blogger makes me feel accomplished and Proud. My biggest goal in life is to be a woman my daughter can look up to and be proud of. I had her at 20 and have always fought hard to assure she has a quality life. I want her to always feel she can Succeed when the going gets rough and know that all things are obtainable with hard work and God! Blogging is also important to me because it provides freedom, freedom to create my own work schedule. Having an open schedule is high on my value list. I want a career that inspires me and allows me the opportunity to spend time with family and friends sharing precious moments.

2. Starting a Youtube Channel.

wellllllllllll… lol, haven’t quite started it yet. So its safe to say I’m failing in this area. I won’t even elaborate on what this means to me because I haven’t started. I don’t deserve to waste your time and energy on my hopes and dreams when I’m not taking them more seriously. If it was that important to me, I would be on my stuff! I need to get it together.

3. Getting my body in top shape.

This was going really well! I joined Weight Watcher and I was smashing the point system hard… until I wasn’t anymore. I lost 10 pounds but lately, I’ve been hungry, that being said I have been falling off with this goal hardcore. Another pair of this goal was working out at least 3 times a week and that hasn’t happened since I set this goal. Do better Steff! Health is wealth!
